Mr. Scott Brown

Scott Brown is a commercial litigator with Mixon Firm, LLC where he focuses his practice on assisting his clients with resolving business disputes and with protecting their intellectual property. Prior to starting Mixon Firm's litigation practice in 2020, Scott was a partner in one of Alabama's largest law firms and, immediately after graduating from law school, served as a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas A. Wiseman, Senior United States District Court Judge for the Middle District of Tennessee. Scott received a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from Rhodes College, where he lettered in basketball and served as President of the Rhodes Student Government.
 
Scott grew up in Vestavia, attending both Vestavia Hills Elementary West and Pizitz Middle School before graduating from Vestavia Hills High School in 1992. During High School, he was a member of national championship winning math teams as well as state championship winning basketball and baseball teams. Scott previously served on the Executive Board of Vestavia Hills Youth Boys Basketball, Inc. and is a member of the Board of the Bryant-Jordan Scholarship Program, which provides scholarships to students who have excelled both in the classroom and on the playing field.  
 
Scott and his wife, Kelley, have four children, including three students attending Vestavia Hills City Schools and a 2019 graduate of Vestavia Hills High School. They attend Mountain Brook Community Church.
