NOTICE OF FILING PROPOSED PLAN OF ORGANIZATION
And
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on June 7, 2023, TELLURIDE SCHOOL DISTRICT R-1, San Miguel County, Colorado, and DOLORES COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT RE-2(J), Dolores County, Colorado, jointly filed with the Commissioner of Education of the State of Colorado a proposed Plan of Organization, the purpose of which is to detach the territory included in the TOWN OF RICO from the DOLORES COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT RE-2(J) and to annex such territory into TELLURIDE SCHOOL DISTRICT R-1. A map and legal description showing the proposed boundaries of each of the said school districts as they will be affected by the proposed Plan of Organization were also filed with Commissioner on said date.
NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that the Rico School Planning Committee will hold public hearings regarding the Plan of Organization at the locations, dates, and times set forth below:
Telluride School District Session

Dolores County School District Session

Any interested elector of either of the above school districts may inspect the proposed Plan of Organization, and the map and legal description filed therewith, at the administrative office of either school district, at the following locations:
