Students will prepare for entry level jobs in the residential and commercial building industry.
Instructional training will be offered in plans, material and labor costs, ordering materials, work layout, and use of hand and power tools.
This program will provide opportunities for students develop skills required to complete many tasks involved in building, from drawing board to finish.
Students will learn the use of hand and power tools, project planning, code requirements and the permit process.
Students will also develop workability skills to successfully enter the world of work.
The course is open to juniors and seniors and anyone 16 years or older. Class is two hours daily for two semesters (360 hours).
