    A NOTE FROM OUR ADMINISTRATION

    Dear Dragon Family:

It was so great to welcome everyone back following the Spring Break. We celebrated our Bee Kind Week and had an exciting new event with our Noche Latina on Saturday. Thanks so much to our Leadership students for organizing!

This past week the Press Democrat published their Sonoma County Player of the Year and 1st, 2nd, and honorable mention teams for soccer. We are elated to share that our very own, Griffin Brophy (11th grade), pictured to the right, was selected as Player of the Year (MVP). 1st team selections: Griffin Brophy (11th grade), Angel Garcia Osorio (12th grade), 2nd team selection: Cris Rivera (11th grade), Honorable Mention (3rd team) selections: Dominic Contreras (12th grade), Miguel Jimenez (12th grade). All of the all county players earned VVAL recognitions as well. From our Girls Team, Brianna Jusarek (10th grade) earned a 2nd Team All County designation. Huge congratulations to our boys and girls soccer athletes! And one more student-athlete celebration - Senior, Andrew Bonfigli, pictured to the left, has been selected to receive the $1,000 NCS Foundation Scholarship - he is one of 20 students selected to receive this award from the 175 NCS Member schools. Congratulations, Andrew!

As we approach this last stretch of the end of the school year, it is imperative we revisit our expectations regarding behavior. We urge our students to carefully consider any actions that would jeopardize their participation in end-of-year events including prom, senior week activities, and the graduation ceremony. Any non-school-sponsored, student-initiated activities that involve trespassing, cause damage to school property, or violate behavioral guidelines, will be met with disciplinary action and the potential involvement of law enforcement to ensure the safety of both students and the community. This includes but is not limited to, Fugitive Night and any senior pranks. As a school community, we do not condone these events and discourage participation for all students in these types of student-initiated activities. Administrators will be visiting senior classes during the month of April to discuss senior activities, graduation, and review behavior expectations. We encourage families to engage in conversations with their students regarding end-of-year events and appropriate conduct. Your cooperation and ongoing support are greatly appreciated.

Just a reminder that the end of the grading period is approaching - P4 ends on Friday, April 12. Students should make sure to check in with their teachers in advance of the end of the grading period regarding any missing work or support they might need. The next grade issued after this grading period will be the Semester 1 grade at the end of the Spring semester, so we encourage all our Dragons to keep putting forth their best effort as we finish out the school year. Remember, we are all here to help.
