COVID-19 Dashboard

San Rafael City Schools follows the protocols established by the Marin County Office of Education and Marin County Public Health for scenarios and actions related to COVID-19 exposures and cases.

This dashboard lists confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 related to both SRCS students and employees by school site. For the purposes of this dashboard:

  • Up until December 31, 2021 SRCS counted positive confirmed cases for individuals (both students and employees) who were on campus within close contact* of others for SRCS or school supervised instruction or activities. Only cases that potentially impact individuals’ health and wellness at our schools or offices were be reported.
  • As of January 1, 2022, the SRCS COVID-19 Dashboard will reflect all reported positive staff and student cases, whether or not they may have been on campus.
  • SRCS is not counting community-related cases for those individuals who have not come onto campus within close contact* of other students and staff.

  • Numbers are corroborated with Marin Public Health and site administrators for accuracy.

*Close Contact is defined as any individual who was within 6 feet of an infected person for at least 15 minutes within a 24-hour period, starting from 2 days before illness onset (or, for asymptomatic patients, 2 days prior to positive specimen collection) until the time the person is isolated.

The Dashboard is updated on Fridays by 5 pm.

*Important Note: SRCS does not wait to notify close contacts upon initial report of a positive case. However, we do wait for official confirmation from the public health department before listing a case on this dashboard. This could result in a delay of cases appearing on this dashboard or a discrepancy between the number of notifications received and actual number of confirmed cases (when the case is not confirmed positive by public health).

Communication to classrooms and school communities are sent out as applicable following the Marin Public Health protocols. In the event of a positive COVID-19 case that could potentially impact individuals’ health and wellness at our schools or offices, school staff and the school community are directly informed.
