Hi, 

I am happy to be in my second year of teaching at Salida Middle School. I currently teach five 7th grade classes. Prior to joining the staff here at SMS, I completed my training at Turlock High School, where I worked with high school seniors and freshmen. I completed my undergraduate work at UC Santa Cruz, Humboldt State University, San Jose City College, Lake Tahoe Community College, Modesto Junior College, and CSU Stanislaus, where I finished my B.A. and received my credential in Single Subject Matter Preparation (English Language Arts). 

In my free time, I enjoy reading and writing (poetry, of course), and I like to be outdoors. I have an eight-year-old son, who takes up most of my free time (and I wouldn't have it any other way). 

I am passionate about teaching and working with young people, who are on the verge of becoming adults, and who like to challenge me as much as I do them!
