I am pleased to serve students and families at Joseph Lane Middle School in the counseling department. I aim to help students reach their potential by working on academic, social/emotional, and career and college readiness needs through classroom lessons, small group work, and individual counseling sessions. I work closely with students, families, and staff to provide an environment where all students can thrive. 

​Qualifications and Credentials

• 16 years of elementary teaching experience
  • Kindergarten (5 years)​

  • Third Grade (9 years)

  • Fifth Grade (2 years)

• Four years of middle school counseling  

• Associate of Arts - Umpqua Community College

• Bachelor of Science in Education - Western
  Oregon University 

• Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction - 
  Grand Canyon University  

• Master of School Counseling - Southeastern
  Oklahoma State University  

Professional Interests

• Provide academic, social, and psychological support

• Consult and collaborate with students, parents,
  staff members and administrators

• Promote growth through strengths-based work

• Mediate between student and peer/teacher

• Advocate for equity and inclusion for all students

• Empower students to face their problems and develop skills to work through them

• Supporting students and families through crisis and disaster situations
