May 24 - Mock Crash @ Gig Harbor High School.  A permission form must be turned in to Emily Scheutzow to attend.  Students will walk over to GH together at 9:20am.

May 27 - Monday, Memorial Day, No School.

June 1 - Peninsula High School Senior Prom - Permission form must be turned in to Henderson Bay's Main Office by May 28th to attend. 

June 5 - Scholarship Notebook Awards Assembly, 8:50 - 9:10 during our all school meeting. 

June 6 -  Senior Field Trip - Pt. Ruston, Tacoma, 9:30 - 1:30 pm. Field trip form must be turned in to attend. 

June 8 - Gig Harbor High School Prom - Permission form must be turned in to Henderson Bay's Main Office by June 5th to attend. 

June 10 - Salon Day @ HBHS

June 13 - Senior breakfast and graduation rehearsal.  Normal school day 7:38 - 1:40 pm. 

June 14 - No school.  Graduation Ceremony at Harbor Ridge Middle School, 6pm.  Seniors arrive at 5:30 pm in their cap and gown.

Henderson Bay's Scholarship Notebook is due April 12th by 1:45 p.m. 

Below are the steps to complete the notebook:

1. Complete and submit the Scholarship Notebook Questionnaire HERE. 

2. Create a cover page with your full name typed at the top and a color picture of yourself in the middle no larger than 5 x 7.  Staff in the main office can help you print your cover page. 

3.  Write a personal essay.  One full page is the required minimum. 

4. Add your resume page. 

5.  Personal Pages - share who you are with up to 4 pages of personal information.  You can use both sides of the paper for pictures, art work, certificates, awards, etc.

6.  Have someone (teacher, parent, advisor, counselor, etc)proofread your notebook for spelling and punctuation. 

Once all your pages are complete, turn them in to Karen (Office Manager - Main Office) to compile into your notebook.  Community donors will review notebooks the week of May 6th.  

Students will receive their award packet the first week in June. 

Support is available for all of these steps during Wednesday activity time. 

 

Senior Class Field Trip -  Thursday, June 6th - Pt. Ruston, Tacoma WA
Below is our agenda:

9:30 am - School bus arrives at Henderson Bay
9:40 am - Bus leaves for Pt. Ruston, Tacoma
10:00 am - Arrive at Pt. Ruston Waterfront Market
10:00 - 11 am - Students are free to explore the area 
11:00 am - All student meet at the entrance to Farrelli's Pizza
11:00 - 1 pm - Lunch, Pizza & Soda (no cost to students)
1:00 pm - load bus
1:30 pm - arrive back at Henderson Bay High School 

The permission slip must be turned in by Tuesday, June 4th.  The permission slip was sent electronically to all senior parent(s)/guardian(s) and students via ParentSquare on May 30th.  If you need a hard copy of the permission form, you can pick one up in the main office. 

 

Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal is Thursday, June 13, 2024. 

This is a regular school day.  Please be sure your student arrives on time.

Rehearsal is on campus.  We will begin around 12pm. 

They do not need to bring their cap & gown to school. 

 

Diplomas are mailed to student's home address in August.

You must complete this form to purchase your Chromebook for $10. The form must be completed by May 24th.
Once you complete the form, a charge will show up on your account within 48hrs. This fee must be paid (either online or through your bookkeeper) by June 12th to avoid any graduation delays.
Please make sure to return your device AND charger to the main office before June 13th to avoid a fine. You can return the case too, if you would like, but it's not required.
