"Wow! What a big check!"

During Character Education Week, a day was dedicated to donating money for the Buddy Pack program. The elementary students raised $357.00 for the Buddy Pack program! Today, Teresa Ross with the Food Bank visited our school and picked up the donations for the program. We currently have 23 students who benefit from the buddy pack program in our school district. 

"The Food Bank spends approximately $7.50 to supply one Buddy Pack to a student, giving them the nutrition they need for the weekend. A donation of $270 provides Buddy Packs to one student for a year." 

We had a few little students present the money to Ms. Teresa. They were pretty impressed. One even said, "Wow, what a big check for 11,000 dollars?!?" Not quite, $11,000, but definitely enough to help provide food for one student all year.
