A New School Year Begins
It's hard to believe that we are finally back to school. It has been wonderful to see the students again and their smiling faces enter the building. I feel everyone was ready to come back.
The Title I team has been busy testing students. The tests given are: STAR reading test: helps determines the student's reading level, AIMS Web Plus: phonemic awareness, letter recognition, and phonics, and Dyslexia testing: four tests to help find what a student's needs are and what instruction would benefit them.
The Title I Team is planning to begin instruction on September 21st. We hope to have our testing done and meet with classroom teachers to ensure students' needs are met.
Important Dates:
September 7,Monday: No school- Labor Day
September 8-10, Tuesday-Thursday: Early outs
September 11, Friday: No school
September 14: No school- Professional Development
