TAG Student Hosts Golf Tournament
On Sunday, September 23, 2018, Crew K. hosted the second annual Crew K. Classic Golf Tournament at the Unionville Country Club. The grand prize of a quarter beef or cash attracted 14 teams, totaling 56 participants. Many were there to enjoy a relaxing day of golf, but several teed off for the title of longest drive, longest putt, closest to the pin, and a chance to win $500 for a hole-in-one. After the teams were finished golfing, everyone was welcome to enjoy a free brisket meal followed by an auction and 50/50 raffle. The support from the Country Club, the volunteers, and our community allows Crew to attend golf camps and compete in tournaments throughout the summer. Crew hopes to compete at a high level in high school golf and maybe go on to play in college. This tournament is a big part of my golfing and helps him be able to do what he can to get better at the game.
Crew is a Middle School TAG student and we appreciate his drive and ambition in the classroom and in the community.
