Thankful For My Amazing Students!
Halloween has come and gone and now it is almost time for Thanksgiving! It’s always a blessing to hear what the children are thankful for and the exciting things they will be doing with their friends and families for Thanksgiving Break. We have been doing many Thanksgiving related activities in the Speech and Language Room! One of my favorite activities is Turkey Tom. Tom is a fun Turkey that the children get to color and write 5 things they are thankful for on each of his feathers. It’s amazing what the children come up with! We use this as a good way to practice articulation skills as well as language skills. The students will read the words aloud several times then they will describe why each item on the feather is important to them. Many students have done this activity every year and each year it seems they always want more feathers as they have thought of more things they want to add.
I am very grateful for the staff, children, and community of Putnam County as I have enjoyed building a family and continuing my career here.
Sincerely,
