  1. 1.  CALL TO ORDER:

Trustee, Joshua Cantrell called the meeting of the trustees of Pioneer Elementary School District #41 to order and via Zoom, Monday, August 22, 2023 at 3:00 pm.  Trustee, Joshua Cantrell welcomed all those attending.  Trustee, Joshua Cantrell read the Montana Law about public meetings.

  1. Hiring Part-time Music Teacher – Melissa explained that Independent has hired a music teacher. They will employ her approximately .9 FTE. Sheila Choinard, Independent’s Superintendent asked Melissa if we would like to hire her for a few hours a week. Melissa explained that we would have her come on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2 – 4 pm, this would equal .125 FTE Each class will have time with her. This will cost approximately $6500 and Melissa feels we have enough money in the budget to cover this. After discussion, Colleen made a motion to offer Carlee Vigesaa a part-time position of .125 FTE to teach music to all grades 4 hours per week on Monday & Wednesday. Wynn seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous; the motion carried.
  2. Plumbing Repairs in New Building – Melissa explained that Kevin had a plumber come, we have not received bids as of today. There is a leak in the boiler room coming from pipes from the bathrooms above. 

 

VI .  ADJOURNMENT:  

A motion was made by Joshua Cantrell to adjourn the meeting. Colleen Unruh seconded the motion.  The vote was unanimous; motion carried.  The meeting ended at 3:07 pm.  The next scheduled regular meeting is Monday, September 11, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. in Room 106 of the main building and via Zoom.
