School History
Lonnie B. Keller Middle School opened its doors in 2008 at 3102 San Augustine in Pasadena. The Keller Middle School is named in honor of Lonnie B. Keller, a longtime administrator and educator in Pasadena ISD. The school was originally housed in the historic San Jacinto Junior High building, which was constructed in 1959.

In 2011, a bond vote was passed to fund the construction of a new 131,000 square-foot campus to serve Keller’s students. In the fall of 2014, a new campus opened for Keller Middle School at 1711 Magnolia Drive in Pasadena and the old building was demolished. In 2015, the school was recognized as a Texas School to Watch and campus employees were chosen to present at the National Schools to Watch Conference in Washington D.C. The school currently serves around 700 students in fifth and sixth grade.
