Support During School Hours
If you have questions or need assistance regarding your child’s mental health during school hours, you can reach out to Mental Health Services in the following ways:
- Contact your child’s school directly and ask to speak with the school counselor in elementary or the SAFE coordinator in middle and high school. In some schools, the school social worker may be the main contact for mental health support. This is the best way to make a connection with your child’s school and to work collaboratively to find the best way to support your child’s individual needs.
- The Parent Mental Health Helpline 407-317-3694 is available for parents to call during school hours. A staff member from Mental Health Services will assist you with finding resources including counseling services that are available through OCPS.
