School Board selects new General Counsel

Amy Envall will lead OCPS Office of Legal Services

 

Last night, the Orange County School Board selected Amy Envall as their new General Counsel. Envall, who currently serves in the same capacity for the School Board of Brevard County, will bring more than 15 years of experience representing local government agencies, as well as experience as a fourth-grade teacher to her new role at OCPS.

 

Ms. Envall previously worked in the department she will lead as an attorney and the Ethics Compliance Officer, in addition to previous roles as General Counsel for the Clerk of Courts, Assistant County Attorney, Trial Court Staff Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, and Assistant Dean for Academic Programs and Faculty Development at Barry University School of Law. She is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States of America, the Middle District of Florida, and is a member of the Florida Bar. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Florida School Board Attorneys Association as well as on some local non-profit organizations.
