School Board reviews Strategic Plan

Orange County School Board members reviewed the district’s new Strategic Plan as it relates to schools and departments districtwide. The  new Strategic Plan was approved in December. The work session is the second in a series of meetings that address the district’s Strategic Plan as it relates to the budgeting process.

 

The Deputy Superintendent presented on the six objectives of the Strategic Plan and how they align with schools and departments.

  • Dedicated and High-Quality Team
  • Positive Climate and Safe Environment
  • Efficient Operations
  • Engaged and Invested Community

 

The school board reviewed the strategy behind the process of Academic Return on Investment.

  • Resource Allocation
  • All Divisions Participated

 

With the discussion on the topic of AROI, school board members reviewed the process of purposeful abandonment which is a logical and deliberate decision to abandon efforts that no longer serve their intended purpose.
