School Board approves targeted and technical rezoning
Heritage Place and Crystal Creek Targeted Rezoning: These two neighborhoods are currently zoned for Lake Buena Vista High School (80-H-SW-4). This targeted rezoning will move approximately 106 high school students to Freedom High School attendance zone.

Asbury Technical Rezoning: In an effort to keep a planned development in the same school zone, the Little River Elementary portion will be moved to Forsyth Woods Elementary attendance zone. There are no students living in the rezoning area.

Letter to Governor requesting COVID-19 vaccine for essential school employees
School board members approved sending the letter written to Governor Ron DeSantis encouraging the consideration of allowing all essential K-12 employees with direct contact to students to be prioritized for vaccination. In the event the Governor cannot support that request, urge the Governor to allow those essential K-12 employees who are deemed to be at risk due to age and/or underlying health conditions to be eligible for the vaccine within the cohort of those 65 and older for the COVID-19 vaccination.
