Florida Family Engagement Month - Tell us your story

The Florida Department of Education and the School Board of Orange County have declared November, Family Engagement in Education Month. This is a time to celebrate the crucial role parents and families play in their child’s education.

When schools work with families, children are more resilient in the face of challenges and motivated to succeed, not just in school, but throughout life. Help us build an OCPS oral history by sharing your family's story of resilience! Recording and sharing stories helps children develop a sense of identity as part of a community with a shared history. Stories will be available to use as an inspiration to OCPS students.

Checking student progress reports and missing assignments

Progress Reports for the second marking period were released in the OCPS Parent Portal’s Skyward Family Access App Friday, Nov. 18, 2022. Review your child’s progress report with them. Watch this video to learn how to view it online, and check for missing assignments, which when not submitted, can result in a lower overall grade. Watch this video to learn how to check missing assignments.
