The Orange County School Board approved names for five new schools opening in August 2022 to accommodate growing student enrollment: three elementary schools, one middle school and one K-8 school. OCPS will have 210 schools next year, up from 205 this year. The schools represent a $156.2 million investment in students by the community.
Hamlin Elementary is located at 16145 Silver Grove Blvd. in Winter Garden. The school relieves Water Spring and Whispering Oak elementaries. The top three names chosen by the community were: Hamlin Elementary, Hamlin Groves Elementary and Lake Ingram Elementary. The school is in proximity to the Hamlin development and the Hamlin variety of orange trees grew in the area.

The community voted on three possible names: Hamlin Middle, Hamlin Grove Middle and Hamlin Hills Middle. The school is in proximity to the Hamlin development and the Hamlin variety of orange trees grew in the area.
Kelly Park School is located at 4700 Jason Dwelley Pkwy. in Apopka. The K-8 school relieves Wolf Lake and Zellwood elementaries as well as Wolf Lake Middle School. The three most- suggested names from the community were Bay Ridge School, Jason Dwelley School and Kelly Park School. Kelly Park is a natural park known for its natural Florida beauty. In 1927, Dr.
