Orange County Public Schools is excited to announce that the Edgewater High School football program will be soaring across the pond to compete in a historic international football matchup against the NFL Academy in the United Kingdom Aug, 15, 2024. This momentous event will showcase the exceptional talent and dedication of Edgewater’s student-athletes on a global stage.
"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our players, and we are honored and thrilled to be a part of it," said Cameron Duke, head football coach at Edgewater High School.
“We are delighted to welcome Edgewater High School to Loughborough, UK, to play the NFL Academy! Our visitors will bring both high-level competition and a fantastic playing experience, which are important elements in continuing to build our elite football development program and developing our young student-athletes,” said Lamonte Winston, head of the NFL Academy.
While the Eagles have secured initial support, additional community and local business support is crucial to make this extraordinary opportunity a reality.
