The Florida Department of Education released the 2018-19 graduation rates for the state, school districts and high schools. Along with our record-high numbers, 19 traditional high schools earned graduation rates above 90 percent. OCPS continues to outperform the state average of 86.9 by 1.5 percentage points.
"Our graduation rates are a result of the hard work of our students, teachers, parents and principals. The vision of Orange County Public Schools is to ensure every student has a promising and successful future. We continually strive to improve our graduation rates as we prepare our 212,000 students for college and career," said Superintendent Barbara Jenkins.
In addition, Jones High School increased its rate by 4.8 percentage points from 86.5 to 91.3, the largest gain in the district. Windermere High School receives its first graduation rate of 96.7. The top three highest graduation rates for traditional high schools in the district are:
