Large group of people poseThe School Board of Orange County held its regularly-scheduled board meeting at the Ronald Blocker Educational Leadership Center. These are the highlights of the meeting:
 
Strategic Plan Update
School Board members received a 2025 Strategic Plan overview highlighting district scorecard Key Performance Indicator (KPI) outcomes. Presentation details and additional resources are available on ocps.net.

School Board Member Vicki-Elaine Felder, District 5, read into the record a Resolution honoring Rev. Dr. Randolph Bracy, Jr. since his passing last month. Members of the Bracy family attended the school board meeting to receive the Resolution. Member Felder read, the School Board of Orange County does hereby acknowledge and declare that Reverend Dr. Randolph Bracy, Jr. will remain a much-loved champion of education and resident of School Board District 5 who touched many lives, and left a legacy of love and faithfulness that will continue for generations to come.
 
Public Relations team honored with national awards
The Public Relations department is OCPS’ strategic communications arm. The team is responsible for promoting the school district through district publications, marketing, graphic design, social media and more. They received five digital media and publication awards from the National School Public Relations Association during its 2023 national conference last week.
