The Orange County School Board met for a scheduled work session at the Ronald Blocker Educational Leadership Center to discuss the Superintendent search process.
The Florida School Boards Association provided an update on the Superintendent search process. The Board reviewed the
qualities of a desired Superintendent that the Superintendent Search Advisory Committee proposed — based on stakeholder input. In addition, members discussed the Superintendent
qualifications, job description,
advertisement venues and salary ranges.
Next steps: An advertisement will be posted beginning May 2 and run through midnight on May 20. The School Board will then meet again on May 25, 2022 at a work session to identify Semi-finalists and questions while also discussing the process to select finalists.
*Reminder* Work sessions are live-streamed on the
School Board’s YouTube channel and are accessible from web browsers on computers or mobile devices.
