CAP Physics

  • CAP Physics is a one year, non-calculus, survey course in physics. It is a 2 semester sequence allowing students up to 8 credits through Clinton Community College. The course is at a higher mathematical level than the Regents physics course.       

     

    PHY 111- First semester includes the study of motion, Newton’s Laws, momentum and work-energy relationships.

     

    PHY 112- Second semester concentrates on the study of energy including: waves, sound, light, electricity, magnetism, and quantum theory. The classes meet 5 days a week in 40 minute periods, with a lab period every other day.
