Mr. Hasty is a graduate of Northampton County High School-East and North Carolina State University. He has two daughters and a son, all adults. His oldest, Jenna, is a graduate of Meredith College. His son, Alex, just graduated from James Madison University. His youngest daughter, Hannah, just graduated from Sounthampton High School in Virginia. He enjoys being involved in athletics and music.
