Blessings (Wah Gwaun). I am a proud Jamaican who currently resides in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, USA. 

My name is Marlon Anthony Beckford and I’m honored to be on this journey as an educator for the past 17 years. My tertiary education started at Bethlehem Moravian College in Jamaica, where I obtained a Diploma in Education in the field of Business and Computing. I attended the University of Technology Jamaica and was awarded a Bachelor of Education degree (honors) in Business and Computing.

My goal is to continue the cycle of education to change the life of our students.

 I migrated in 2019 to join the list of excellent educators at Northampton County. I’m in the CTE department at Northampton County High School, where I teach the following courses: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Visual Design, and Computer Science Principles 1. I am the head coach of the cross country team and also coach of the female track and field team.

The things I enjoy doing in my spare time are preparing Jamaican foods (Jerk Chicken, Jerk Pork, and Curry Chicken).
