January is School Board Member Recognition Month in Arkansas. NPS celebrates our board by thanking them for the time, talents, and knowledge they bring to our District and for their commitment to the families and children of our community. They are extraordinary people who voluntarily tackle this essential role to give a voice regarding the future of our students. While we make this special effort to show our appreciation in January, their contributions are a year-round commitment.

Nettleton Elementary Basketball Tryouts sign-ups are now available for 4th, 5th, and 6th-grade students. Tryouts are on October 26th and October 27th from 5:30-7:30 pm. Boys will be at STEAM, and Girls will be at the Fitness Center. If your student is interested, please fill out the form provided by your campus or online at bit.ly/ElemBasketballTryouts22. Forms are due by Wednesday, October 26th, or turned in at the first tryout. 

 

• Boys' tryouts will be held at the STEAM gym. Girls' tryouts will be held at the Fitness Center. 
• Tryout Times:
  • 4th Grade - 5:30 pm
  • 5th Grade - 6:30 pm
  • 6th Grade - 7:30 pm
• Please note grades, referrals, attitudes, and attendance will be factored into the decision of who will make the travel team. 
• Games will be played at Allen Park (home competitions) and various school sites around NEA for away competitions. 
• Practice/Game days will be played on a combination of Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings and/or Saturdays. Teams will play around 2 games per week. An official schedule will be released at a later date. 
• Game Times are as follows during the week unless otherwise noted. 
  • 4th Grade - 6:00 pm
  • 5th Grade - 7:00 pm
  • 6th Grade - 8:00 pm
• The teams will be announced by October 31st.
