NPS Families, Friday, March 31st, there is a threat of severe weather moving into the area at dismissal times. Our top priory is the safety of our staff and students. District administration will be monitoring conditions throughout the day, and we would like you to be prepared for the potential of early dismissal if needed. Due to this anticipated weather, Camp Raider will be closed, and students must be picked up at school dismissal time. If you choose to check your student(s) out early, the early checkout will be excused.

Please note that Nettleton safe shelters will not be open to the public during school operating hours, yet will become available to the community at 3:30 pm.

NPS is so proud of their graduates, Dasia Young (University of Utah) and Elauna Eaton (University of Mississippi), as they play in the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament today, Friday, March 24th. Young plays with Utah at 4 pm, and Eaton plays with Ole Miss at 9 pm.

NPS parents/guardians, on Thursday, March 16th, we will dismiss 90 minutes early for Parent Teacher Conferences held in person from 2 pm -7 pm and virtually from 7 pm - 8 pm. Spring Break begins Friday, March 17th, and we will return to learning on Monday, March 27th. Camp Raider will be open all day Friday, March 17th for currently enrolled students in the program from 7 am - 5:30 pm.

NPS Families, Bus Route 89, was involved in an accident at the corner of Aggie and Red Wolf this afternoon. A few minor injuries were sustained, and all Parents/Guardians of those students have been notified.

Nettleton Public schools are aware of an incident this morning on our Junior High campus. The incident has been taken care of and there is no current threat at this time. We appreciate the assistance of our administrators, SRO’s and local authority. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We will not tolerate conduct that adversely affects our ability to provide students with a safe learning environment.

NPS families, please be aware that due to the heavy amount of rainfall today, several streets across Jonesboro are closed due to flooding. Areas impacted are West Huntington at Chestnut, the 2200 block of South Caraway, the 1300 block of Fox Meadow, the 3500 block of Race Street near Race Street Market, and the Allen Park Area.
