JV and Sr. Girls and Boys play Batesville tonight, with tipoff beginning at 5:00 pm. Batesville School District requires masks to be worn at indoor events for coaches, players, and fans to enter the gym.

The NPS School Board met on January 18, 2022 and voted to reinstate a mask mandate beginning Wednesday, January 19, 2022, for our district.  All students, staff, and visitors are required to wear masks during the school day, while indoors unless eating or participating in physical activities.  The mandate will continue to be reviewed as Covid cases and quarantines decline within Nettleton Public Schools and Craighead County.

 

Beginning Monday, January 10th, NPS will follow the updated quarantine guidelines given by ADE/ADH. Please notice there is a change in the number of quarantine days. In addition, those who are  18+ to be considered fully vaccinated must also have had the booster. You can find the updated guidelines at nettletonschools.net/pandemic-resources.

The January 6th Basketball home games versus West Memphis East have been rescheudled for Tuesday, January 11th at 5:00 pm.

Due to the upcoming inclement weather, all campuses of the Nettleton Public Schools will be closed today for on-site instruction, January 6, 2022  This will be counted as an Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) Day and students should complete off-site paper assignments or digital learning lessons. Students and parents who have questions may contact their teacher via email. Camp Raider will also be closed.

As winter break comes to a close and school returns in session on January 3rd, Nettleton STEAM, Junior High, and High School schedules will begin 10 minutes earlier. Morning pickup times for buses will not change, but afternoon dropoffs will be 10 minutes earlier. 

Please note that FME, UHE, FMSCM, and UHSMA schedules will not change. The schedule changes are below:
STEAM 7:40 am - 2:25 pm
Junior High 7:35 am - 2:26 pm
High School 7:35 am - 2:26

Nettleton Public Schools is grateful to have parents such as Yvette Champman, who showcase what it means to do "Whatever It Takes, For Every Child." The charity organization 'No Excuses, No Limits' that she and her sister run along with the local business, Bombay Health and Beauty, donated 400 books to NPS. This donation aids in instilling the love of reading in our students, PreK through Twelfth grade, to become lifelong learners. We are thankful for the support of our families and community.

Congratulations to Chloe Cantrell for being selected as one of 14 finalists in her design of an ornament that illustrates what makes their home special. Judges also selected her design as the cover image for Arkansas's submissions. Fifty-six trees are decorated with students' ornaments for each American state and territory as part of the annual America Celebrates display. This display accompanies the National Christmas Tree at President's Park, surrounding the White House.
