Mrs. Green ELA/Social Studies

We have enjoyed learning about Human Rights as well as getting sharper on inferring and finding cause and effect when reading nonfiction expository texts.  

The students are familiar with the UN's Declaration of Human Rights and they have been introduced to major historical landmarks in the history of human rights.  

Their current homework project allows each student to dig in and research a human rights leader and how he or she used their voice in fighting for a cause.  

We will include reading a novel together to further explore the topic of human rights in literature.
