Hello and welcome to our class website!  I wanted to share a little more about myself.  I grew up in Schererville, Indiana with three older brothers and one younger sister.  I graduated from Purdue University in May of 2010 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education.  I began my teaching career as a teacher assistant, working in grades 1 through 4.  I then taught first grade in my own classroom for two years in Raleigh, NC.  I later moved to Seattle where I decided to try a new path as a Merchandise Coordinator in the buying office at Nordstrom.  I was here for almost 3 years until I realized that my true passion is working with young children in hopes of making a difference in their lives.  It is my goal to provide my students with a fun, safe, and engaging learning experience.  

A Few of My Favorite Things:

Hobbies: I enjoy exploring new places in and around the PNW.  I also enjoy spending time with friends and family, watching movies, the beach, outdoors, good food, and hanging out with my dog, Hitch.
Movies: Home Alone, Top Gun, Classic Disney
Colors: Any shade of  mint and coral
Food: Stuffed shells, ice cream (Unfortunately, I am lactose intolerant!)
Place to Shop: Nordstrom (sale items)
Drink: Caramel Macchiato with Soy Milk (Iced if it's hot out and hot if it's cold out!) or seasonal lattes!
Sport: Basketball
Sport Team: Chicago Bulls (during Jordan's era)
