Edna Maguire has partnered with the Zero Waste Marin School Program in collaboration with Mill Valley refuse to reduce the amount of waste our school sends to the landfill. You will notice many shiny new bins around campus - three-bin waste stations at lunch table areas and brown recycle and green compost bins in classrooms. Our work this fall with Zero Waste Marin has included presentations and education to each classroom, the training of our 4th and 5th grade Student Council members as Zero Waste Ambassadors, and daily training around sorting our waste into the appropriate receptacle. 

In an eco-conscious community like Mill Valley, we are well-versed on the 4 R's: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rot and now Edna Maguire has the infrastructure to support this effort!
