The purpose of MBJH Wrestling is to facilitate the physical, mental, and emotional development of student athletes through one of humanity's oldest sports!
Mountain Brook Junior High Wrestling 7-8th Grade
Wrestling is the oldest and greatest sport and at Mountain Brook we train to be the best! We hope to build on last year's success having a Metro Gold Champion in Davis Smith and numerous Metro Gold Placers in Steuart Andrews Runner-up, George Evans-3rd, Bill Bradford-3rd, Mac Mandell-3rd. We also had several Metro Silver Placers including 4 Champions: Chris Brown, Gibbs Watson, Harrison Baxley and Clayton Watson and other placers were Jack Thomas-3rd, Graydon Griffin-3rd and Ben Allen-4th.
Wrestling is a great sport that teaches hard work, dedication, discipline, self reliance, team work and above all accountability. We learn these and demonstrate them throughout the year in training, competition, the classroom, at home and in the community.

Wrestlers and parents are responsible for wrestling shoes and headgear. You can purchase shoes at Academy, Dick's or online. I like this site but you are welcome to use any vendor you wish. https://www.suplay.com/
