National Language Exams

  • The philosophy of the National Latin Exam is predicated on providing every Latin student the opportunity to experience a sense of personal accomplishment and success in his study of the Latin language and culture. The basic purposes of the NLE are to promote the study of Latin and to encourage the individual student.  The exam is administered to all MBHS Latin students in February each year.
     
    The National French Contest/Le Grand Concours is an annual competition sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French.  Students of French in grades 1-12, in all 50 states and abroad, take a written test and compete against students with similar educational background for prizes.  The exam is administered to all MBHS French students in March each year.
     
    The National Spanish Examinations are online, standardized assessment tools for Grades 6 -12, given voluntarily by over 3800 teachers throughout the United States to measure proficiency and achievement of students who are studying Spanish as a second language.  Sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish & Portuguese, the exam is administered to all MBHS Spanish students each year in early spring.
