Mrs. Hennessy has a fun year planned - full of exciting learning and new adventures! She was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and attended Auburn University. She graduated in 2002 with a degree in Early Childhood Education, with hours towards a Master's in Reading and Early Childhood Education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. This is Mrs. Hennessy's 20th year in the classroom, with four years at Oak Mountain Elementary School and 16 years at Crestline Elementary School. She taught first grade for 11 years and Kindergarten for 9 years. It is her greatest joy to be in a Kindergarten classroom, where she can make a positive impact on her students in their first year of "big school". 

Mrs. Hennessy treats each child as if they are her own. She is fully committed to guide her students to reach his/her fullest potential. It is her strong desire for them to build a foundation for a love of learning in Kindergarten. After all, a lifelong love of learning is a true treasure and one she hopes all children will acquire and keep throughout their lives!

Mrs. Hennessy lives in Crestline with her husband. They have three children, who also attend Crestline. She enjoys long walks, trying new recipes, traveling the world, eating out, and spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Hennessy is eager to meet her new Kindergarten friends!
