Welcome to second grade! Anna Parker is thrilled to start her third year teaching second grade. She grew up in Birmingham, AL where she completed her K-12 journey in the Oak Mountain school system. She then attended UAB, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Elementary Education from The University of West Alabama. Last year was her first year at Brookwood Forest and what she loves the most is how involved the community is. She is so excited to meet her new group of Rangers and learn alongside them this year! Ms. Parker is continuously refining and reflecting on her philosophy of education. She sincerely believes in teaching the whole child and that students deserve to learn in a safe environment where their academic and social/emotional needs are met. She believes that every child deserves a champion and an advocate. Her goal is to provide a safe and accepting learning environment where she can authentically learn alongside her students.
