Amber Howard is starting her third year teaching at Brookwood Forest. She previously taught third and fourth grades for ten years at Helena Intermediate before staying home with her kids. While at home with her boys, she worked as an online English teacher to students in China for five years. She has a B.S. degree in Collaborative Education, an M.A. degree in English as a Second Language, and an Ed.S. degree in Teacher Leadership. Also, she is a National Board Certified Teacher. She was selected by her peers as Teacher of the Year at Helena Intermediate. Amber is passionate about continued professional development and has recently completed Orton Gillingham and LETRS reading training, the Teachers College Writing Project, and is a Google Level 1 Certified Educator. Her goal for all students is to be challenged and engaged in her classroom and to love learning.

Amber is married to Dan and has two boys. James is in fourth grade and Thomas is in kindergarten at Brookwood Forest. She loves living in the community and teaching at BWF!
