Ms. Spurlock is very excited to be teaching second grade at Crestline Elementary! She was born and raised in Vestavia Hills, Alabama and attended Auburn University, where she graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduating, she taught first grade in Jefferson County for two years before moving to Crestline Elementary. She taught Kindergarten at Crestline for three years, and is thrilled to be teaching second grade this year, as it is her dream grade to teach! Ms. Spurlock has always had a passion for teaching and believes that the elementary school years are the most important years in a child’s life, as they set the foundation for the rest of their academic career. Her biggest goal is to provide children with a fun and positive learning environment where they can explore, learn, and develop meaningful relationships. She hopes that each child leaves her classroom every year knowing they are loved and capable of doing anything they set their mind to. Ms. Spurlock is looking forward to a great year!
