Mrs. Tricia Neura

Tricia Neura is a former track and field/cross country scholarship athlete at the University of Alabama and School Nutrition Specialist who is responsible for overseeing the child nutrition program for Mountain Brook Schools. She is a registered dietitian with a master's degree in public health from the University of South Carolina and a bachelor's degree in food and nutrition from the University of Alabama.
 
She most recently served six years as the Assistant Director of Child Nutrition for Hoover City Schools. She also has experience working as a clinical nutritionist at Children’s of Alabama. Her specialties included working in the areas of corporate wellness, food allergies, diabetes/weight management, and community nutrition. She has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Alabama. 
 
Mrs. Neura has held numerous leadership roles within several professional organizations, including the Alabama School Nutrition Association (ASNA), Alabama State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation & Dance (ASAHPERD), and the Alabama Department of Public Health Women’s Health Steering Committee. In 2019, she was named the Alabama Dietetic Association “Outstanding Preceptor of the Year.” In 2017, she was named the “Health Champion of the Year” from the Alabama Champions Program.
 
Her hobbies include spending time with her husband and their two children, both of whom are active in youth sports.
