Susan Russell is thrilled to be a member of the Brookwood Forest family! She is married to Blake and has three children: Mac, Tinnon and Sadie May. Susan graduated from Mountain Brook High school. She then attended Furman University and graduated with a degree in elementary education. Next, Susan moved to Nashville and received her master’s in special education from Vanderbilt University. Susan then returned to Birmingham and got her collaborative degree from Samford University. She taught for four years in Hoover and then for two years at Crestline. She then decided to stay at home with her children. She taught preschool at Covenant Day School, but she then decided to return to teaching full time, as she is passionate about helping learners with special needs. Susan is so excited to be teaching at the school where her children attend and she is so very thankful to be part of such a wonderful community!! Let’s make it a GREAT year!
