Mrs. Heather Phillips was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion and Fitness from the University of Texas at Austin. After moving to Birmingham in 1996, she soon enrolled at the University of Montevallo where she completed her Master of Elementary Education. She has taught in the Hoover City and Shelby County school districts and came to Crestline in 2008. Since coming to Crestline, she has taught 4th grade, 5^th grade science and gifted (enrichment) for grades K-6. She recently completed her certification in gifted education from Samford University under the expert tutelage of Dr. Patti Wood. English/Language Arts and History are her favorite subjects, and she is really looking forward to her second year as a 6^th Language Arts teacher.

Mrs. Phillips is married to Scott who is from Huntsville, AL, and they have three children (two in college,) three dogs and two cats. When she is not teaching and planning, Mrs. Phillips is traveling and hanging out with family.
