Transitional Kindergarten & Kindergarten Program

The California Kindergarten Readiness Act of 2010 created a two year developmental kindergarten program and established a transitional kindergarten year for our young five year-olds before kindergarten. 

The important building blocks for school success include acquiring skills in all developmental areas: social, emotional, physical and intellectual. Allowing an extra year for our young five year-olds provides an opportunity for them to grow in all these developmental areas before facing the rigors of the academic world.
