Dear Karrer Elementary Students and Families,
I am honored to lead a school with such motivated students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community. I feel very fortunate to become a Bulldog and to support the students and families.
I am a proud graduate from Southwest Texas with my Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and from Texas State with my Master of Education in Educational Leadership. I have been dedicated to the field of education for 21 years. Prior to becoming the principal here, I worked with students from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade in a variety of roles. I have been an elementary teacher for 9 years, a Pre-K-8th grade Instructional Coach and have been in administration for 8 years. I am thrilled to utilize my skills as an educational leader at Karrer Elementary School and work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success.
On a personal note, my husband Derek is my biggest supporter. My son and daughter are also joining me in Marion. My daughter is going into 6th grade and my son into 9th grade. My three step kids live in Austin and complete our crazy family of 7. We are proud to become part of the Marion School District!
I believe that students are at the center of all school-related decisions. Because the relationships between families and the school are vital to the success of our students, I encourage you to become involved in every way possible.
