For Alabama public school students in grades 6th - 12th, enrollment in ACCESS courses is done through the local school at no cost to the student. The school counselor, or designee, is responsible for:
- determining eligibility
- understanding prerequisites
- requesting ACCESS courses
- accepting and entering grades in iNow once courses are completed
- awarding credit on student transcripts if credit is earned based on local policies
Non-public school students may participate in ACCESS under certain circumstances. Please contact the Troy Support Center for enrollment questions regarding private school students. For any other special situations, please contact your local school or support center for enrollment information.
If you are considering requesting ACCESS courses for your student, please read through the ACCESS Student Policy Manual for more details about expectations and program operation. Students and parents are required to sign the Student Acknowledgment Form listed in the Table of Contents.
Enrollment Flexibility:
Does your student have unique enrollment issues and require special scheduling to meet graduation needs? ACCESS can help. We offer a wide variety of scheduling options (Block/Traditional/Trimester) and can work with the local school to help your student.
Once enrolled, the school will provide the student with login information for the coursework.
