ROnald G. Saloio

Born in Ludlow Hospital, Ron is a lifelong resident who graduated from Ludlow High School in 1983. He began his 39 years in the construction field as a laborer/driver and moved on to work as a heavy equipment Operator Engineer as a member of the IUOE Local 98 for the past 25 years.
His vast experience includes all phases of residential, commercial, quarry, and heavy highway construction. Ron has always had a deep love of music, and for a time was able to make a living from his musical career and has continued to play part-time for a few local original and cover bands. One of his favorite groups is the multi-generational get-togethers with his extended family to create and share beautiful music with area nursing homes, parades, and the Festa, that talent has been passed on to all six of his children.
Happily married to Lisa (Kumor) Saloio, also a lifelong resident and 1983 LHS graduate, for 33 years. Together they raised 6 children who all graduated from LHS after attending St. John the Baptist Catholic school for grades K-8
Community involvement:
Founder of contemporary youth choirs at both Our Lady of Fatima (1987) and St. Elizabeth parishes (2005). Both choirs are still in operation today.
In 2005 Ron and Lisa began a youth ministry program at St. Elizabeth’s bringing youth to multiple local and national youth conferences as well as mission trips throughout the US and is currently helping to plan a trip to World Youth Day in Lisbon Portugal. Both teach middle school through high school faith formation at St. Elizabeth Parish.
20-year involvement as a Parent coordinator and currently President of Ludlow Youth Football.
6-year member of Parish Council.
Ron will advocate for the rebuilding the sports complex, teaching trades, keeping sports, music, arts, and time-proven academics as part of the curriculum, common sense parental rights, communication, and transparency.
