The Spam-whitelist page is used in conjunction with the Mediawiki SpamBlacklist extension, and lists strings of text that override Meta's blacklist and the local spam-blacklist.
Please enter your requests at the bottom of the page. Sign your requests with four tildes: ~~~~
Also in your request, please include the following:
- The link that you want whitelisted in the section title, like === example.com/help/index.php === .
- The Wikipedia page on which you want to use the link
- An explanation why it would be useful to the encyclopedia article proper
- If the site you're requesting is listed at /Common requests, please include confirmation that you have read the reason why requests regarding the site are commonly denied and that you still desire to proceed with your request
Important: You must provide a full link to the specific web page you want to be whitelisted (leave out the http:// from the front; otherwise you will not be able to save your edit to this page). Requests quoting only a domain (i.e. ending in .com or similar with nothing after the / character) are likely to be denied. If you wish to have a site fully unblocked please visit the relevant section of MediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist.
Note: Do not request links to be whitelisted where you can reasonably suspect that the material you want to link to is in violation of copyright (see WP:LINKVIO). Such requests will likely be summarily rejected.
There is no automated notification system in place for the results of requests, and you will not be notified when your request has a response. You should therefore add this page to your personal watch list, to your notifications through the subscribe feature, or check back here every few days to see if there is any progress on it; in particular, you should check whether administrators have raised any additional queries or expressed any concerns about the request, as failure to reply to these promptly will generally result in the request being denied.
Completed requests are archived, additions and removal are logged. →snippet for logging: {{/request|1312056793#section_name}}
Note that requests from new or unregistered users are not usually considered.

[edit]
If you have a source that you would like to add to the spam-whitelist, but you are uncertain that it meets Wikipedia's guideline on reliability, please ask for opinions on the Reliable sources noticeboard, to confirm that it does meet that guideline, before submitting your whitelisting request here. In your request, link to the confirming discussion on that noticeboard.
Likewise, if you have an external link that you are uncertain meets Wikipedia's guideline on external links, please get confirmation on the External links noticeboard before submitting your whitelisting request here.
If your whitelist request falls under one of these two categories, the admins will be more willing to have the source whitelisted if you can achieve consensus at one of the above noticeboards.
Add new entries at the bottom of this page. Completed requests will be marked with an appropriate Indicator then archived.
If the above information is not provided, expect your request to be declined. PLEASE ADD NEW ENTRIES TO THE BOTTOM OF THE LIST PLEASE SIGN YOUR ENTRY WITH FOUR TILDES: ~~~~ |

- @WikiNick89: per MediaWiki talk:Spam-whitelist/Common_requests#The_official_homepage_of_the_subject_of_a_page, we would need an about-page or a full url (including an index.htm) of the index page. Can you please provide a suitable link? --Dirk Beetstra T C 12:13, 4 August 2025 (UTC)
- @Beetstra: So Wikipedia won't allow me to share the official website link here because it's blacklisted but if you put "https://" in front of chaturbate.com then it will take you to their official website. While there’s no separate About page or index.htm, this is the domain promoted by the organization on its Twitter profile and in other external references.WikiNick89 (talk) 19:53, 4 August 2025 (UTC)

Diff: Request for whitelist as created by two users
The start of this isn't gonna be a typical discussion. To keep this story short, a user went to WP:RFPP regarding this webstite and requested some change there to a non-existent article. Personally, this seems to be in connection with either Draft:GoodFirms, created by another user, or due to the the goodfirms.co website being put on the blocklist in 2021 due to spam. While it probably is both in some way, to focus on the latter, both users tried to submit a request here to have this domain whitelisted. Except, rather than posting it here, they put it on MediaWiki talk:Spam-whitelist/Common requests as can be seen from that diff. I am about to go revert that, but I figured I would mention this here in case I should have copied and pasted it here instead or if I should have told both users to post here. (Though, the one comment feels auto-generated.) While this seems like an decline anyways, I will take the time to add here that this is the second time this year that someone tried to submit a request at Common requests. (Perhaps the instructions should be made a bit clearer that requests are expected here? *Shrug*) --Super Goku V (talk) 11:24, 22 August 2025 (UTC)
- @Super Goku V, Meenakshi Krishnan, and Rachaelray018: per MediaWiki talk:Spam-whitelist/Common_requests#The_official_homepage_of_the_subject_of_a_page, we would need an about-page or a full url (including an index.htm) of the index page, we will never whitelist the domain as that simply negates the blacklist. Even with that, we will not whitelist links for a draft that has not been accepted. In the current state Draft:GoodFirms is not publishable, there are no sources whatsoever.
- Incidently, Rachaelray018 has an edit adding the link in 2018 (before blacklisting), and seems to have tried to repeat the same back in May. --Dirk Beetstra T C 12:23, 22 August 2025 (UTC)
- Closest I could find to an about page is
goodfirms.co/why-goodfirms, but if that isn't it, then I don't know if they have one. (Well... there is alsogoodfirms.co/blog/goodfirms-ordinary-b2b-platform-with-extraordinary-vision, but I don't know if that counts as it is more an article one of their employees wrote regarding the company. Not really an about page.) - Anyways, I think they want the block overturned, so if I have this in the wrong location, then I apologize. (Per
why GoodFirms (goodfirms.co) merits removal from Wikipedia’s blacklist (...) + The website is not a source of spam, and its content could be a valuable resource for articles (...)
(Personally, I am on the decline side of things.) --Super Goku V (talk) 12:50, 22 August 2025 (UTC) - Thank you for pointing this out - @Beetstra. The earlier addition of the GoodFirms.co link in 2018 (before blacklisting) and the attempted edit in May might have caused some confusion. To address this properly, I’d like to request guidance on the right process to have GoodFirms.co included.
- Could you please confirm the steps for creating a dedicated Wikipedia page for GoodFirms.co? I want to ensure that any future edits comply fully with Wikipedia’s notability and citation guidelines, with reliable third-party references supporting the page. Rachaelray018 (talk) 11:14, 26 August 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Rachaelray018, I recommend reading Help:Your first article, which provides a basic overview of what is expected in an article. While working on Draft:GoodFirms, you are able to cite goodfirms.co in the draft by wrapping the URLs inside nowiki tags. I see that you have done this by wrapping the entire citation in the nowiki tags, e.g.
<nowiki><ref>https://www.goodfirms.co/about</ref></nowiki>. To have the citation appear correctly in the article, swap the order of the tags so that the nowiki tags are enclosed within the ref tags, e.g.<ref><nowiki>https://www.goodfirms.co/about</nowiki></ref>. As Beetstra said, because goodfirms.co has been link-spammed on Wikipedia, the domain will not be whitelisted solely for use in an unpublished draft. — Newslinger talk 12:13, 26 August 2025 (UTC) - @Rachaelray018 First of all, I want you to be clear that Wikipedia is NOT the place to promote your business. I am very concerned about what I see regarding edits that involve (references to) Goodfirms, and there is absolutely no confusion about what is going on: I see disclosed paid editing (still resulting in a block of the involved editor), and what I think is a lot of undisclosed paid editing. You yourself and Meenakshi Krishnan both only disclosed your conflict of interest now. Overall, this is suggesting a large case of search engine optimization and abuse of Wikipedia editing priviliges for promoting companies (Goodfirms and others). Seen the strong link between the style of editing between you and @Meenakshi Krishnan on one side, and many, many other accounts that are not mentioned here on the other side, I would strongly suggest that all of you strictly read through our policies and guidelines before engaging in further editing of content. This talk page section is linked from the hatnote, but when I clicked on it I found that it did not exist. Actually, I ended up here after being told, "Request that just the specific page be allowed, without unblocking the whole website, by asking on the spam whitelist talk page." when I tried to add a cite in support of some content I added here. The article I attempted to cite appears to me to meet WP:DUE. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 03:58, 29 August 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Wtmitchell, since you are requesting for a URL to be added to the spam whitelist, this is actually a proposed addition, so I've changed the section heading from "Proposed removals" to "Breitbart Business Digest article". Also, I have just updated the noticeboard instructions in Special:Diff/1308454021 to reflect that the other top-level sections of this page were removed in January; thank you for pointing that out. As for the request, because Breitbart News (the publisher of Breitbart Business Digest) was deprecated in a 2018 RfC, I have referred this request to the reliable sources noticeboard at WP:RSN § Breitbart Business Digest (Breitbart News) for Cook v. Trump article for a community evaluation. — Newslinger talk 15:31, 29 August 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for all of that. For me, this is just something I ran across in passing and thought should be brought to the attention of others more directly concerned before I moved on; that resulted in action by you that will hopefully lead to whatever needs fixing being fixed. Cheers. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 23:26, 29 August 2025 (UTC)
- @Wtmitchell:. You want to use a specific link on breitbart.com. As explained by NewsLinger, Breitbart was deprecated and to stop the (ab)use of the link it was blacklisted (otherwise you keep cleaning up). If use is warranted we do whitelist specific articles. You seem to want to use:
- Link requested to be whitelisted:
link.breitbart.com/view/5d13d7effc942d626ccbb158oljao.58oi/38f79b09
- Link requested to be whitelisted:
- If you can make a case why this article is suitable as a reference and make the case why there are no alternatives (hosted by sources which we regard generally reliable), or the RSN discussion is closing positively, we can certainly add this to the whitelist. I've added the necessary templates and tracks to this discussion. --Dirk Beetstra T C 08:18, 30 August 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks. Understood. This came up as a side-issue re this edit I made adding some info to an article I happened to look at in passing. I need to concentrate of frying other fish, so I've just tagged the info I added there with a {{cn}}. I'm sure that support can be found elsewhere and, for now, I'll leave it to editors with more topical interest to follow this up. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 23:01, 30 August 2025 (UTC)

thelondoneconomic.com/politics/netanyahu-boycotts-isolating-israeli-economy-398005 - For the following articles: Sparta Speech.
I am asking a removal of the link from the English Wikipedia spam blacklist. My intent is to cite this source in the Sparta Speech article, specifically regarding free market matters discussed in the speech.
Reviewing the blacklist, it appears The London Economic was added in 2020 due to SEO issues, not unreliability. As per WP:BLACKLIST and WP:RS, blacklisting is intended as a last resort against persistent disruption or unreliability, with removal when there is compelling evidence that risk no longer exists or the site is not problematic for reliability. In this case, The London Economic provides coverage relevant to the topic and is not being used for promotion or disruption. Dgw|Talk 04:41, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Dorian Gray Wild That's not what I see, I see indeed paid editing spam, but, per m:Talk:Spam_blacklist/Archives/2020-02#blackhat_SEO_spam_sites, these acocunts were spamming material which was totally misrepresening/"rubbish". Is this article reliable? Dirk Beetstra T C 10:45, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- I am not a paid editor. The article "Netanyahu: Boycotts isolating Israeli economy" was written by Bill Curtis, a political journalist for The London Economic. He regularly writes for The Big Issue, The Daily Telegraph and Metro. The article is reliable and describes in details the Sparta Speech: "I am a supporter of the free market, but we may find ourselves in a situation where our arms industries are blocked." Full speech is here. Dgw|Talk 11:44, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Dorian Gray Wild: I was not implying that you were a paid editor, I was stating that the material was spammed, ánd that they were spamming cases where there was something going on related to reliability (the blacklisting discussion suggested that the material on thelondoneconomic was 'rubbish').
