Elementary Summer School
Kearney School District is excited to offer our 2025 Summer School program for our students entering kindergarten through fifth grade!
When:
- 8 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.
- Monday, June 2 through Thursday, June 26
There will be NO summer school classes on Fridays except for Friday, June 20. There will be no school on June 19 to observe Juneteenth.
The parents/guardians of car-riders will be able to drop students off at Southview Elementary between 8-8:15 a.m. and pick them up at 3:20 p.m.

- Grades K-3 - Southview Elementary
- Grades 4 & 5 - LENS wing at Kearney Junior High

Kearney School District will provide bus transportation during our 2025 Summer School program for students entering grades K-5 who live outside of the "No-Busing" zone on the Google Map linked below. Students need to be enrolled by April 30 to receive district-provided transportation. Please use the link to see if your student is eligible for district busing.

Families must complete enrollment for our 2025 Summer School by Wednesday, April 30 if they wish to have bus transportation for their children. Students will not receive busing if they enroll for summer school after the April 30 deadline.

* Families will receive specific transportation information by email later in May with bus stop locations and times.
Before- and After-School Childcare:
Kearney School District is pleased to offer before- and after-school care for a limited number of families during our June 2025 program! Please note that your child must also be enrolled in KSD's 2025 Summer School program to sign up for the Kids Club June 2025 Childcare Program. *THESE ARE TWO SEPARATE ENROLLMENTS.

Summer School Open House will be held from 6:30 to 730 p.m. on Thursday, May 29. More information is coming soon.
Students will need a backpack; a water bottle is optional.
