Kearney High School to face Warrensburg on Friday, Nov. 22
Kearney, Mo., November 20, 2024: The Kearney High School Football team earned its second straight District championship with a 34-7 win over Savannah on Friday, Nov. 15 at home.
The Bulldog offense was efficient against an outstanding Savannah defense. Quarterback Carter Temple led the way with 95 yards rushing and 85 yards passing, scoring one touchdown through the air and one on the ground. Tristan Williams, Corbin Emmons and Grant Noland all contributed rushing touchdowns as well, while Noland had one touchdown reception.
The KHS defense hamstrung the normally potent Savannah offense, limiting them to just 7 points. Trent Dostal had an interception. Four Bulldogs also had tackles for loss: Noland (2), Theo Grace (2), Konnar Dampier (1) and Aidan Arellano (1).
KHS is now 11-0 and advances to the state quarterfinals at 11-1 Warrensburg High School at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22. This match-up is a Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) event. Tickets at $10 apiece and must be purchased through the MSHSAA online box office at www.mshsaa.org/Tickets.aspx; click the “FOOTBALL” option, then “Class 4” and select the KHS game.

KHS will be the visiting team, so Bulldogs fans should plan to sit on the east side of the football field. Visiting parking will be located on the south side of the facility as well as the gate entrance. The facility is located at 1411 S. Ridgeview Dr., Warrensburg, MO 64093.
The gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and there will be no early seating. Access to a gameday broadcast can be purchased at www.mshsaa.tv.
