Retirement Ceremony

Join us in honoring ten remarkable retiring educators and staff who collectively dedicated 237 years to shaping young minds and leaving an indelible mark on the Huntington Beach City School District (HBCSD) community!

Retirement Ceremony CenterpieceHBCSD celebrated their retirement in a special ceremony themed 'Sailing into Retirement.' During the heartwarming ceremony attended by staff, teachers, administrators, and community members, we expressed our deep appreciation and bid farewell to the retiring team members.

"Just like the best sailors, you have weathered the stormiest of seas and some of the most challenging academic years with an unwavering commitment and a resilient spirit," said Dr. Winston. "You have taught students not just to read, write, or solve problems, but also to think, question, create, and most importantly, to believe in themselves. And our support staff, who are every bit as integral to our school community, have created a safe and caring environment where learning could flourish!" she said.

The retiring educators received gifts, flowers, and well-wishes, symbolizing their impact.

"Thank you for your extraordinary service, and congratulations on your well-deserved retirement. It is time to enjoy the fruits of your labor and the high seas of freedom and relaxation. Here's to smooth sailing into your retirement!" said Dr. Winston.
